“Volunteer Fire Fighter” arches across the top of this antique silver buckle, with an eagle spreading its wings between the words. Below it, a ladder truck takes up most of the face, and the gear is all there: a fire helmet, an axe, an extinguisher and a hose with its nozzle curling along the bottom.
Volunteer firefighters give a lot of their time, and this buckle is a nice way to say thanks. It works as an award for years of service or as a fundraiser item, and families give it for birthdays and Christmas.
